Comments The Fragrance Mix II consists of the following fragrances: 5% alpha-Hexyl cinnamaldehyde (PF164=10% pet.), 1% Citral (ST160=2% pet.), 0.5% Citronellol (PF161=1% pet.), 2.5% Farnesol (PF163=5% pet.), 2.5% Coumarin (PF162=5% pet.) and 2.5% Lyral (ST161=5% pet.) / for further information see the single allergens.
The Fragrance Mix II is a screener for a general sensitization to fragrances.
The 6 allergens in the Fragrance Mix II belong to the 26 fragrances that have to be declared on cosmetics if their concentration exceeds a certain limit.
If a positive skin reaction with unclear case history is observed the clinical relevans should be varified through a ROAT (repeated open application test).
The patch test substance is produced with 10 % hard paraffin to ensure the homogenity.
